  3. I was so happy to hear this myself, do you know if the turkeys are safe as well?

  4. It "looks" like the turkey is safe also. I have the list of ingredients that Honeybaked emailed me. If you email me- allergenfreeplease (at) gmail (dot) com, I will forward the to you or you can call to confirm. I want to make sure it is COMPLETELY safe for your family and I did not ask about the turkey.

  5. I looked at the ingredients online, and you are right, it "looks safe" I think I am going to call the 1-800 number and see what they say! My 4-year old is allergic to peanuts, tree-nuts, and casein...and I am gluten-free. I am glad I stumbled upon your blog, it is always nice to find more resources!

  6. If the ham has sodium lactate in it, how can it be dairy free?

  7. Hi M,
You made me re-think myself, and honeybaked for a minute with the sodium lactate question, but I found out through the company AND better yet FAAN (The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network) that sodium lactate DOES NOT CONTAIN MILK. SO HAVE SOME HAM!!! Read here http://foodallergylist.org/allergens/milk.html

  8. I am allergic to garlic...is that considered a spice? As in "spices"...thank you if anyone knows...

  9. That is a great question. I would call the 1-800 number that I have on this post and ask them about the garlic. I am sure someone will be able to get that information for you. If the first representative can not help you, ask to speak with a manager and keep going up the chain if you have to :)

  12. Isn't FOOD STARCH-MODIFIED wheat?

    ReplyDelete
  13. That is a great question. Effective January 1, 2006, foods covered by the FDA labeling laws that contain wheat must be labeled in plain English to declare that it “contains wheat.” I know there are some states that sell HoneyBaked (click on top of post on update) that still contain wheat, but others do not. They have to label wheat if it does. I hope that helps.

  14. MSG WARNING!!!!!!!For those who have sensitivity to MSG and all the names it falls under the glaze is full of MSG!!!!!
Accept for sugar and paprika all the other listings are alternative names for MSG, glutamic acid or a derivative. If you have IBS, Crohns, Migraines, etc. The glaze could send you to the hospital.
We need more truth in labeling please. There are other people suffering from allergies to MSG
