I stopped in Target yesterday to see if I could grab another Hide 'Em & Find 'Em Egg for my boys (Thanks Sara for letting me know they were at Target). You can find them in the Easter Section near the plastic eggs. They are $3.99. They have lots of colors to choose from. I am excited, because this year I can be more creative with where I hide the eggs in the house :).jpg)
I browsed the candy aisle and came across these plastic eggs filled with candy (fruit string and nuggets). I was intrigued when I saw "Healthy Treats" and I was like..."alright, let's read the label." Not bad. I was excited. It says Kosher Parve right on the front of the packaging. My mom bought one for the boys for $1.99 to share and this is the information I found when I got home and looked it up on the Internet. Pretty cool you can find this at Target!- Made from fruit puree and juices from concentrate

Now I need to go back to Target! We were debating what we can put in Marino's eggs, since we don't want to give him candy yet (he's better off not knowing what he's missing, plus I don't want to see him hopped up on sugar...he's wild enough after eating clementines). We were also thinking of putting Cheerios in the eggs (I'm sure they make gluten-free O's), blueberries, and grapes.
ReplyDeleteGreat healthy option ideas for the Easter basket. I love it! Brody will probably only get "bites" of this stuff. It is more for my older son but I wanted to make sure that Brody could have some if he pitched a fit :)

You are right, Easter doesn't have to be about candy and such. There were tons of things at Target (besides candy) to put in their baskets. My boys were eyeing the Thomas the Train stuff :)
Oh yeah, there are so many things I want him to have for "Easter" that have nothing to do with Easter. My Dad got me an Easter basket every year until I got married, so I just enjoy giving Marino gifts from the Easter bunny. I got sidewalk chalk for us to play with outside, bubbles, 3 new books (for my own sanity) including one about Curious George and a bike since his trike is his new favorite thing, an a bunch of Yo Gabba Gabba stuff, since he is obsessed.

We discontinued Peanut Butter flavor of Jelly Belly beans (this flavor contained peanut butter and peanut flour) however, it is possible this flavor may still be included in packages sold in retail stores until inventories are depleted.
None of the other flavors of Jelly Belly beans contain peanuts as an ingredient. We no longer process peanuts in our manufacturing plants.
