Cherrybrook Kitchen

I have been hearing some great stuff about products from Cherrybrook Kitchen that are allergen safe. I gave them a call today, and they are sending me some coupons in the mail (ask and ye shall receive). Looking forward to trying out their gluten free, egg free, dairy free, peanut free products :)

Anyone have any tips for using a "mix" with the Ener G egg replacer? I tried to make brownies previously and they turned out like a rock...seriously, took us a few days to soak them out of the pan :(

  1. Thanks for the info. I have only used the egg replacement in a cake mix and it came out ok. Sorry- I dont have a clue.

  2. The great thing about Cherrybrook Kitchen cake mixes is you make them with oil so there is no egg (replacement or otherwise to worry about). Lots of gluten-free mixes turn out bad for me. One day I made brownies and put them in the fridge. My husband came home and asked me "why is there dirt in the fridge?" Yup, they were that bad.

Anyway, I made a Cherrybrook Kitchen cake for Marino's birthday cake (and mine, too). He liked it (not like he has a basis of comparison).

  3. I really like using the flax seed replacement. you can probably find a recipe if you google, "Flax Seed Egg Replacer recipe" or something like that. If you use it in a white cake mix, it will look like a weird color.
